The biggest shade I've ever worked on!

 

The granddaughter's shade tent was completed and in time for her maiden voyage at the Oregon Country Fair!

This is by far the largest shade project I've ever engaged in ....

It required

Six 12hr days of sewing

49 yards of fabric

29 yards of trimmings

Four sewing machines - we wore out a belt on one featherweight, used another, wore out my regular machine (I'm sure it will recover) and really appreciated the serger!

The only reason we were able to construct it was that my granddaughter had bee so precise in her calculations, measurements and cutting instructions!

The granddaughter also put together her very first lamp shade!! (In so proud!)
