This shade was one of my earliest efforts, designed when I was just discovering beaded trim. As the years have gone by, this piece was relegated to a top closet shelf as I grew to appreciate hand beading with crystals and originality. Several weeks ago I had a request for this shade and an opportunity to give her a re-do!
After:
I removed the old acrylic beading and embellishment (below, right) and added a simple insert of filigree, glass, and crystal beading. I'm so happy with the results and so is her new owner!
